My old 10 bolt peg leg has finally given out on me. I knew it would eventually. It felt like the brake was on when the car was in gear. I pulled the drums off, all is good. I tried to turn the axle and it catches and grinds on something. So I removed the cover and looked around but cant see anything strange. I wanted to pull the axles out to check them but the cross shaft is stuck in the differential. After pulling the rear end out of the car yesterday, I managed to drive the shaft out about half way with a BFH and a big punch. It is all boogered up from the spider gears or something. I cant drive it out any further because the housing will be in the way. The only options that I see are to try to pull it with something or to cut it and continue to drive it out. I would love to scrap the whole rear and get something stronger but I only have about $1k in my car budget right now. Every after market rear end I find is twice that and finding a 12 bolt at a junk yard is nearly impossible. So for now I'm going to fix what I got and make it a posi while I'm at it. But I first need to get out that shaft  Any suggestions guys?
