I have been wondering for a while would it have been possible to order a cowl induction hood on a 72 Chevelle SS with a 350 2 barrel. I'm curious since the 350 2 barrel would not have a 14" air cleaner, it would need the 14" air cleaner so it would have the rubber donut to seal the hood to the air cleaner, right. I was just wondering this since my 72 Chevelle SS was ordered with the 350 2 barrel and if the original owner tried to ordered the cowl induction hood would the dealer have said no you can't with that engine?

I thought the Cowl induction hood was just available with the 396 or the 454 engine.
The "Chevrolet SS Muscle Car Red Book" sais something about that. I´ll read it again.

Not sure if it was possible or not, I don't think so. But I know you can fit one on with a 350 as I did it on my first chevelle as a clone - you will need the spacer to make it all fit, but it works just fine.
