Agreed... I say NOT as well..

Could be...but without proven original documentation it isnt. This is always discussed and to me it really is that simple - you have docs on a 70 that prove it or you dont. If you dont then it isnt...even if it really WAS. I dont trust people very much though.

I don't know enough about the 70 to be for sure if it is a true SS or not, but what about the ebay post. The person states that there is NO rust on the body, HELLO!!! Look at the pictures that show underneath the bed above the rear end. Look at the picture it looks bad.

Ask for all the rear end codes, castings and stamps.Should help prove or disprove.Lots of stuff has been changed besides the major body color.Hacked up dash could be out of the same SS car the non 70 steering wheel came off of.Wrong booster and m.c.,too.

Nope,I bought a new 1973 SS Elky from Jerry's Chevy here in town,was a 350 sb,had a 10 bolt posi.

El Caminos were subject to the same applications in which a 12 bolt would have been factory installed as a Chevelle would have. But there may be a few different circumstances.

Well, since the seller conveniently did not take a picture of the area where a seat belt light would be, I would not be at all surprised if it had one. The seats are 71-72, the steering wheel is 71-72, the master cylinder is 69, car has been pieced together, and the VIN thing at the top shows MAJOR TITLE ISSUE.

Buyer beware here for sure. You'd have to get it cheap enough to live with the issues it has.
