There is only one bracket for the 68-72 console, widely available from a number of aftermarket sources, including our sponsor, for less than $20. It's a fairly simple piece of sheetmetal that I am sure most people could easily fabricate themselves... but for $20, why bother?
You will need a welder to properly install the bracket, or you could opt to simply pop rivet the bracket in place (much easier to remove if you ever decide to do so).
Most importantly, you need measurements... the diagram below is one someone on this site provided when I installed my console a few years back.
Hope it helps...

Oh, and you'll need a harness extension (runs from dash harness to console), and the console harness, both available aftermarket as well.

I have the harness, cable, shifter and console. All i need is just get them brackets from Ground Up, and the 2004R shifter kit from Shiftworks. So this is all i need, right??
just do my measurements and i should be good to go, right??

Thanks again :beers:

I've asked the following question under the transmission forum. If you have a powerglide transmission how do you connect the end of the cable to the shift lever of the transmission? I've looked at a stock 68 Camaro, a stock 69 Camaro, and a stock 68 Chevelle. All three had different shafts coming out of the powerglide. Not all powerglides were made the same. Plus, if you want a stock appearance, you will need the proper support bracket to mount the cable to the tranny pan. Think about that!
