Found this about 2 weeks ago and I like it. I think a different type of hood, but for a '68-'69 I guess a flat hood with the vents in it would be appropriate along with dual exhaust tips (big ones, not tiny), and slim down the rear body area abit. What do you guys think?

Not sure this would work with the mid 60s Chevelle and the market for the current Malibu, remember, there is a late model Malibu.

Not uncommon, Challenger and Charger are already done this way.

But if its gonna be bigger than a Camaro, like Mustang and Challenger, it will be big and heavy. And I don't want a four door.

i really like it and would buy one if they came out.i loved the retro look of the new camaros, mustangs and challengers when the first came out.so bring it……….

I'm new here but dude don't mess with the Chevelle..look wht has been done
To the other classics..they look good in their own way but don't diminish the
Chevelle...this is SACRED..look what u done to the GTO..I mean come on!!..if
U want to make a Chevell make it wth the same metal features..nothing new school
Whatsoever..do it as an anniversary..use ur brains do mess with "The Sacred"

Someone mentioned the current Malibu. In reality, the Malibu of today has a lot more in common with the originol Chevelle-Malibu concept than what we have grown to love, in that it was a lower cost, mid sized alternative to the larger cars, and more expensive, cars.

Only when John Delorean came up with the idea of a big cubic engine in a mid size did what we call "muscle cars" come into being.

Give it the circular rear taillights like the 71-72's!

Couldn't do a V8 of any kind as a DD while gas is still near $4 a gallon though. I have a 38 mile commute to work each way and it would kill me. My V6 DD is killing me!

Looks too much like the new camaro..

Out of all the retro's the mustang looks the best...

Maybe, until you're in a hurry to get somewhere, and you get stuck behind someone through 10 miles of no-passing zone poking along at 54mph because they're afraid you'll give them a ticket if they accidentally hit 56mph. ;)

Trust me... I drove a Caprice in the same Dark Cherry as the MN State Patrol cars for about 7 years.

I guess my desire to annoy people just isn't great enough to be amused at getting myself stuck behind someone crawling along at the posted speed limit.

It's one aspect of driving a Caprice that I really don't miss... pounding on the steering wheel yelling "I'm not a f***ing cop, GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" :D

Rear looks like a Javelin. Thats got to go!! otherwise, yes!

Looks to much like the others to be different IMHO, But I say go for it Chevy! the more rear wheel drive V8 cars the better, maybe drive the others prices down a bit? Nah, probly not, just hoping.
Lame thing is there would be folks who come to car shows with them in pairs or trios and park next to eachother like they really have something. New cars don't belong at car shows I think, vintage iron earned its right to be there.

Well for one I don't care for I. This is another restyle job that's fallen way short of the intended mark. The problem is the basic design it does not really look like a 69, yes there are some recognizable feature's but far from enough . Let's face it the FORD and MOPAR boys did a much better job of the restyles, the Camaro body is just awful doesn't even look like a 69. I think they need to do a serious revamp of the body on both, make them really appealing start a new add campaign then watch the sales. The prospective customer won't buy what's not appealing first to the eye and then the heart.Alex

Why the hell would they want to do that?

Camaro is outselling the Mustang and the Challenger.

Challenger is selling the worst of all 3.

I like the idea but I think it should look more like what I think is the most popular and most recognizable, 1970. I'm a 66 guy but I would like the 70 platform for a concept car.
