Nice pic of the Adjustable Part Throttle feature.

I wonder if Edelbrock used stainless screws on this ?

Are those upper rear flaps modified? I have only seen that kind of thing on Pontiacs, and they were square.

Von is right about the little needle screw. I've kinda given up those. I did get one loose a year or so ago. Used oxy-acetylene torch, with much time and WD-40. ran my oxygen bottle dry. I can usually get about anything apart but the time is the killer. I had like 4 hours in that baseplate APT screw, no real good way to bill out anything like that.
I tried on one with a propane torch and gave up. Evidently Cliff has a method that works for him. I think he sells replacement screws for those too.

Can't you soak the screw in aerokroil for a few days ?

you can, I have, but it won't necessarily work. I've had them to where a low viscosity fluid like WD-40 would run right through but I still can't get the screw to turn. I've broken the screwdriver slot in a couple trying, not to mention a few nice pocket screwdrivers.

If you want quick turnaround, likely ten days, I use and suggest www.customrebuiltcarbs.com Your carb will look and run like new and he'll do some custom work as well, the shop is in NJ. Click on the link and give them a call!!

Sorry, but Cliff's book is not 20 years old, the copyright is 2006. The Doug Roe book is the one that's over 20 years old.
Had to go out and look but you're right. It's the Stubblefield/Haynes book (copyright 1994) that I've had since the mid 90s. I have Cliff's book somewhere but couldn't find it. I had the two confused.

This getting old crap is getting old.

 Yeah, this made me go looking for both books, too! I found Cliff Ruggles book but couldn't locate Doug Roe's book. I did clearly remember that it was published way before Ruggles book, 1994 makes sense.

So I sent a Qjet to Cliff in Feb 2019, he would never actually ever verify if he ever received it,,always tell me he was running behind,
then he told me all his employees quit on him, so he was solo,,,he has had my carb for 8 months now and has not started on it.
I finally told him to just send it back to me. He said maybe Mark at Quadrajet Power could help me and he supposedly sent it
to him. I looked at Marks website and he is saying 10 week lead time..... I dont really even know where my carb is at this point!
since no one has ever had the common courtesy to tell me!

anyone have experience with Quadrajet power?

I have another question, is 1500 dollars too much to pay for a "restored" 7037203?
I need one badly
Absolutely. Just send your carb to SMIcarburetor.com and they will do it for about $500

let me clarify,,this is for the carb all restored and ready to bolt on,,I currently do not have a 7037203
Just be patient; they show up on ebay all the time.

Here's one !

And another one :

Once you have a carb it's about $400-$500 to have it restored.

I see that in mid-68 they switched from a circle tag to a stamped vertical number so the "13" has to be made after 1967.

Keep looking, I'm sure one will pop up on ebay at a reasonable price.

You could also just buy one just for parts and just use the body with the correct circle tag on it and use the parts from other carbs.
