This video is suppose to be a original commerical for the 1970 chevelle ss, at 17 seconds it shows the dash and it has chrome around the turn signal indicators, everything Ive heard they didnt have chrome from the factory just the repos. So which is correct?

The cars that came down the production lines did not have the circles chromed. That probably was a pilot car. Not everything you see in your owners manuals is correct either. If you like the chrome look go for it, but most will point out it is not correct.

So then, you were there watching the cars come down the line?

But, seriously tho, we do know that at least one car had the chrome circles and I doubt that anyone knows how many more had them.

This video was brought up before (quite recently) by Dutch Max and someone said that was the original design but GM cancelled it to save money. I couldn't tell you who said it or if they had backed it up with anything but it would make sense.

I have seen a couple other cars that were supposed survivor cars that showed the chrome around the lower holes.
