I am going to put the correct 396 in my 67 chevelle and removing the 69 396 and have a few questions.
1. I weas just told that the exhaust manifolds are held in place with studs not bolts?
2. Is the lower alt. bracket the same for the 67 as the 69? I know the upper is very different.
3. Are the power steering backets the same for the 67 as what I have on the 69?

Thanks

 The correct '69 Alternator bracket would be on the passenger side... The correct '67 Alternator bracket is on the driver's side, so no they won't be the same.

The correct '69 P/S brackets were a one year only set up, so no, they will not be correct either.

Ill second this. A lot of 69 stuff tends to be one year only. Just depends if its all correct.

I agree. Based on the picture it looks like a short style water pump that was standard in 67. 69 would have had a long style and different brackets. It looks like everything there will be a direct bolt in.
