OK, I finally have my wifes El Camino started. Still needs some work, but getting there. The motor is a '75 350 with 4 bolt main. Long tube headers and a performer RPM intake. I am also running an HEI distrubutor. Timing is set and seems OK. The carb is an Edelbrock AVS 650.
OK. The car starts fine and idles fine. When it warm up, if at mid to high RPM, I get a fuel mist blowing out the top of the carb and some back fire and of course it get rough. I am not up on tuning carbs. The rest of the fuel system seems good. The pump and filter is new. I am running braided stainless line and the pressure is 6 -7 PSI. Thanks for any help.

I would look at the valve lash. To blow mist out of carb will take pressure. sounds like a lifter may be pumping up and keep you off your valve seat. Just a stab.
