I went in the other day to replace the actuating cam and cancel cam in my 67 el camino. I replaced the actuating cam (it was really bad) but the cancel cam looked good so I left it in.

How does the cancel cam work to kick off the turn signal? Need to go back in and fix the problem. Can't figure it out.

The usual no cancel problem is that one of the little springs has broken. There is a left and a right. I got mine from a GM dealer last year.

Do you mean the two springs on the actuating cam? They are next to each other and on the opposite end of the turn signal.

These were both fine and working.
