hey guys, i know this isn't a chevelle related question, but my bf told me to go here if i needed a quick, knowledgeable response. i have a 1973 pontiac grand am, previously a 400, but the engine decided to throw a few rods and now i'm stuck with an empty engine bay. my question is, since i can't find another pontiac block or engine here to save my life, how about swapping in a buick 455? i know of one for sale and i was told all i would need were a set of buick motor mounts. however, someone else told me i may have problems with the power steering pump and such since the distributor is on the opposite side. anyone have any experience with this or at least know if it will swap in nicely? i'd go chev but apparently the amount of work is not worth it and i'm on a limited budget. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!
