Sorry if this post has an obvious answer, and skip this paragraph if you just want to know the question, but I'm scratching my head here. I don't know exactly why, but I've had people tell me (track people twice) that gas comes out of the car under hard accel when its near full. So I keep it at around half. Also once I filled it on a 95* day and then drove it and it was sitting on flat pavement, I guess the gas must have expanded a little and there was a puddle of it under the cap on the ground. Actually, its not vented properly either, on hot days with new gas I have to "burp" the tank or it won't idle as if its being pressure fed gas...

How can I figure out my gas mileage if I don't/cannot fill the tank?

I need to drive a good distance on the highway to a shop, its such a hassle to get the car on the trailer with only one pair of hands (small driveway). Its under the amount of time/distance that I'd like to have to break out the trailer, but its a stretch of highway I don't know very well and would hate to have to map out all the mobils along the way.
I used to get 10-13 with UD harolds UD HR4. This solid roller eats WAY more gas!

Thanks
matt

Why not just vent the tank like it was designed???

I guess.. its out of laziness. I ended up plugging the other little pipe/outlet above the fuel line because none of my assembly/shop/body manuals mention how to properly vent it, and I never asked here.
As to why it leaks under hard acceleration (if it really does.. they have never found gas on the car after thinking they have seen it at the track), I've tried different caps and such.

Though this is getting decidedly unperformance, sorry guys!
