I'm having trouble locating an HV 2016 intake manifold. Summit and Jegs are out of stock. Does anyone have one on the shelf or know where I can get my hands on one? Surely there is a speed shop that has one for sale somewhere.

I'd also love to hear some feedback from those of you who run this intake. My next engine is a mild 540 and I want to keep my stock hood. Thanks.

I have that very intake on my 540. Here are my specs:

Shafiroff 540 real street short block with a Dart block and Scat forged rotating assembly 10.5 to 1
Brodix RaceRite BB2 Plus 312cc rectangle port heads, CNC combustion chamber with 2.25/1.88 Ferrea 6000 valves and Comp 953 springs
Straub hydraulic roller GTA cam and roller rockers:
Adv. Dur. Int/Exh 288/300
Dur. at .050" Int/Exh 229/241
Valve Lift Int/Exh .612/.569
Center Lines Int/ Exh 105/113
LSA 109
Isky Racing Cams 3977HYRT - Isky Silver Series HPX Hydraulic Roller Lifters
Brodix HV 2016
Holley 1000HP mechanical secondary carburetor custom built by Eric at Vintage Muscle Car Parts
Full MSD ignition - Distributor, 6AL box, and Super Conductor wires.
Hooker 2'' Competition headers into 3'' exhaust with X-pipe through Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers with tail pipes.

It put down 518.75 H.P. and 593.35 TQ. on the chassis dyno with an air cleaner and full accessories. I don't consider this radical by any means. I have 15'' of vacuum at idle. That intake with a conservative cam and head selection will get you what you need without sacrificing drivability or power. I have this combo in my 69 Camaro with a 4'' tall 14'' air cleaner and it fits under a stock cowl induction hood. My 2 cents.

Do a search I have posted about this intake many times.

IMO best dual plane you can purchase for an all out performance mind set.

A buddy put one of them on a 540. I freshened the engine for him and he swapped to that intake. Dart 345 cc heads, HR cam, flat top pistons. Haven't driven it yet...just ran on test stand. But it acts very responsive and will be great in his street Vette.

What if any would be any gains going from an Eddy R port RPM air gap that I had to remove a 1" open spacer (no hood clearance) to the HV 2016 and be able to add the 1" spacer? I'm guessing not worth the trouble but I really don't know and it's a full interior street car not a racer

The Air Gap has bolt holes between the intake ports. My cylinder heads don't have those. I'd probably have to weld those shut. Port matching might be an issue.

I did notice that Air Flow Research has introduced a new dual plane Magnum intake for rec port BBC. It's 1/4 inch taller however. Not sure of the availability. I'll need to contact them.

The Brodix intake won't be available for another two months.
