I know they need the bore Honed to piston fit but how bad are the mains and decks? Ya I know every machined service needs to be re done on any block but are they that bad from the factory?
I heard the lifter bores need checking also depends on age of block I think they had good and bad batches. I had mine checked this year and I was OK. My block was dated in 1991.
