I've got a 67 chevelle 396 short water pump, I've got cheap aftermarket alternator brackets, stock pulleys, I know as soon as I spin the engine up, I
gonna lose a belt, so anyone running a serpentine kit on a short water pump, I've only seen march that makes one, it's 730 dollars though, it comes with brackets pulleys a tensioner and it's setup for a remote res power steering pump, I assume that's the correct kit for my car. But not sure and close to 800 dollars is crazy, anyone just run the serpentine pulleys, no tensioner? I know a long pump would be the easy way to go, but as it is, with my thick alum radiator, and slim dual fan setup, I don't have alot of room between pump and fans? Any exp with this problem?
