Does anyone know where I can buy a power steering pump bracket for a '67 chevelle with a 454, a short style water pump, headers, no a/c. I would prefer it to look some what original but is not mantatory. I've tried Summit, Jegg's, Trans Dapt, VCI.... and can't find one. Help!

Most of the restoration suppliers carry them, also used on BB pickups until 72. these setups are remote reservoir. There's usually SWP big block stuff on Ebay as well.

Do a search on this site for 66 and 67 power steering. This has been discussed a few times. The adjustment bracket on the back of the pump will not work as it is with headers. You will need to add a spacer to make up for the thickness difference between the headers and stock manifold.

You car try the internet salvage yards at www.car-part.com. Sometimes you can find what you need at you don't have to pay ebay prices to get it!

I am in the process of re-doing my chevelle. It is a 68 with a 454 in it that the guy that I bought it from had put in it. He had a long water pump set up in it that looked horrible so naturally, I had to go back with the swp set up and make it look better. Long story short, I got tired of looking at ebay for used kits off of junkers, so I figured that the easiest thing to do was to change to a gm type II power steering pump. From what I have read, it is a better pump than the old ones, but you may be looking for something that looks original. I want to say that I got the brackets and pulleys from summit. I have not gotten the hoses yet, but hey, it is just money right. Anyways, I got the pump off of maybe a mid 90's cavalier, and the resivoir from a 90's astro van I think. Maybe I helped you and did not just open a can of worms. Hope everything goes well.
