I have a 70SS and need ideas on a new battery that my Delco top post battery topper will fit. It seems as where I got my last one they moved the posts to the center of the battery. I can find batteries but they have the fill caps sticking up rather than the flat top sealed ones. Any brand or part numbers? Thanks.

Look at the Deka 9A34. Good batteries, topper friendly. May have to paint the case.

I have good luck with NAPA batteries for as little as the cars get driven. I take them out in the winter and store them in the basement with a battery tender on them.
I do almost the same. I just leave them in the car with the 2 amp Battery Tender. My OE battery in my 2010 Camaro lasted 11 years that way. My mechanic said just change it. Not reliable at that point. Could have failed at any time.

I have a battery tender on mine, winter, summer , spring or fall, unless it is being driven. Allowing a battery to decharge which they do when parked then recharge when driven can severely shorten battery life.
