I'm installing a 18 circuit auto wire harness kit in a 72 chevelle. All is going well until I got to the rear lite wiring. There is no wire for the back-up lites. I do know it is a lite green wire but there is none. Any suggestions??? I am instaling a quick silver shifter with the reverse lite switch but how would I do that with no power source. I called American Auto Wire which is who the kit is from and they could not help. Has anybody else run into this problem and how did you solve it? Thanks for any responses.

that sucks- no provided back-up light wire on a new harness

you can provide fused 12vdc-power to the quick silver shifter with the reverse lite switch.
then run the wire from the other side of the reverse lite switch back to the backup lite wire in the harness. splice it in and you will have power back to the reverse lights.
