Could someone please post the axle codes for a 1970 twelve bolt Chevy/Monte Carlo rearend? Also what should I expect to pay for a good non-posi 12 bolt? Thanks, Scott! :D

Price depends on condition... How "good" is the good condition? Are these from the wrecking yard you mentioned before?

Anyway, I would guess a complete core 68-72 12-bolt/non-posi to be $200-$300, maybe asking more if the seller thinks its ready to bolt in and go...

What are you planning? Putting the rear in right away and using it as-is for a while? Or Immediately rebuilding it and adding positraction, etc?

In some areas that would be a high price, but in other areas a good rebuildable core will go for $300-$350. It is up to you. How bad do you need it and how much are you willing to invest in it? A 3 series Eaton posi is about $350, a 3.42 gear is about $170 and a good installation kit is about $117 with axle bearings. If the axles are good then it is probably worth the money. If you have to replace the axles then you will have to spend about $260 for a new set of Moser axles.
