Hello all,
I would like to install a 4 speed in my chevelle and would like to know is there a complete kit that I can buy and about how much does the whole installation go for?

Thank you

you'd be better off going with a 5 speed or 6 speed, in that case like Jeff said, we have sponsors here that will set you up. Usually going from auto to manual you're going to be in the $3500 range give or take a couple hundred.

About $1500.00 to switch my TH400 to Muncie. Had trans., bellhousing, & driveshaft. Had to buy flywheel, clutch/press plate kit, Hurst shifter kit, 4-speed conv. kit, parking brake cable kit, floor hump, etc. Had to change power valve & sec. spring in 780cfm Holley also. Have 500hp 454 w/ 3.73 posi. & shifting gears now is awesome! Just do it! Worth every penny!

I did it about 5 years ago. TH350 column shift to M22 hurst in my '70 Malibu 350 with a bench. Did all the work myself. The first drive made me a little nervous but worked out fine. I would suggest finding an original set of pedals instead of buying aftermarket/repops but that's just my opinion.

Good luck.
