I'll soon be purchasing a th400 to put in my Vette,and am wondering if it's worth the money to put in a Vasco 300 input shaft,for my application. I do not race,but in the past have blown way too many trannies to start getting cheap this time. The 406 put down in the neighborhood of 500hp and I run P295 50 15 tires I can easily roast through all three gears if I decide to waste the gas doing it. I did it once just to see if I could,but it is not anything I do on a regular basis. This tranny will be a full manual reverse body and will run a 3000 stall with balloon plates.
