During the tear-down of my Fremont built '68 Elky, i noticed a fair amount of gloss on the frame finish...say 70-75%; (i'm no expert..just comparing it to a full gloss black enamel sprayed on a test panel)the rub is that the front control arms appear to be closer to a 50% gloss when compared to the frame's original finish....of course the SuperClean i used could of had somthing to do with this whole thing....i dont really want to start splitting hairs, BUT if the assembly line workers were pulling pre-finished control arms from a bin and installing them on a frame painted by someone else on a different day.......i havent a clue as to how the chassis was assembled in relationship to it's painted (or not) components. Anyone have some insight they would like to share? Happy New Year!!!!
