Did you get a contact phone number and try to call?

 

go to ebay. They will usually do something about it as they own paypal too.

 

Paypal should refund your money. I had to file a complaint with them once.... dude never shipped the item, and quit answering emails. Paypay is slow, but follow their "item never recieved" complaint process, and you will eventually get your money back. It took about month though.... but I did get the $$ back.

Then I left a negative feedback for the jerk.

 

What was the item and who was the seller...post it here so we don't get scammed, too. I do a LOT of e-bay buying and have so far (knock on wood) had good luck.

10 days is not a long time to wait for something. After 30 I'd get worried. I had a seller die on me and his family didn't have a clue. The guy had thousands of positives until the last month (after he died). The family just walked away from everything but the money!

 

the fact that he reposted the add made me not wait-it was an ls6 intake (not a b/b, but a gen 3 f/i intake) i spent an hour with ebay, they didnt seem to be interested if it was a scam or not

 

I'm going thru same thing right now .Paid via PayPal item not sent ....... .not e-bay but another car site ......I moved it to a formal claim after 10 days ......there is no guarantee PayPal will recover your money .if the seller account has money in it fine but if he does not your screwed ....

 

10 days is nothing! The lack of communication sucks though. Maybe he knows you're hot for it and doesn't read your messages.

 

Ebay is so much crap.I have a friend that got took for 1500.00 and I have filled several disputes with ebay.Basically you file a dispute,Ebay sends the other guy a email asking them to answer the dispute.If they dont answer thats as fas as it goes.Ebay only wants the money and if it is easy they will get involved.If it takes any effort you might as well count them out.I almost never buy from individuals on ebay anymore.It has to be a company with a working phone number or I wont deal with them.The only people I deal with are those that give me a phone number and they are close enough to where I can go and pick it up.There are so many scammers out there just waiting to steal whatever they can.I had my ebay account taken over once by someone in another country.I kept getting emails from people asking about auctions they won.I had no idea what they were talking about.I get ahold of ebay and find out that someone was listing items under my account.They must of had 50 auctions going with my account.Ebay did straighten this out.I have never given out any info on my account and I only answer questions through the ebay page so Im wondering if some how peope got my info through ebay.Its a double edge sword its got alot of things that people want but it can be a misery as well.Be careful

 

Click on the link for your auction. THere should be a link to report an item not recieved. Go thru the process. It may seem as ebay only sends them an email, but it does go farther than that. After 10 days with no response from the seller, go back to your dispute and finish the claim. The seller then gets a black mark. 3 marks, he's gone.
When I do this for non payers, I usually get a rsponse within hours.
I know scammers can get another account, but it is not as easy as one thinks.

 

Sorry to hear about your misfortune ..heres my E bay Scam story . I got ripped off for $700.00 ....partly my fault :clonk:as the seller would only take money orders for the item . The seller stated that these wheels 71-72 SS style were "Show Quality" as you can imagine when they arrived all the lugs were egg shaped and (all 4 were bent )Seller had the nerve to say they were damaged by the freight company and refused to refund my money ,I next contacted E bay ( a joke by the way ) and the federal fraud agency the case is pending and I doubt if I see a dime but I learned a big time lesson . If anyone wants to know this crooks name PM me .
