I have one of the pro comp $49 distributors in my car I have had good luck with it for a couple years I know others have not but I set my timing at 36 but its not all in til around 4000 or more I have a mr. Gasket 929g curve kit I know there all different but to get all in at around 3000 what springs should I start with and is that a good RPM to have it at. Hopefully with this a 1 inch carb spacer re jetting and a good track I can get some 12.00s. Thanks

3000 is probabyl about as high as you want your "all in" to be at; something down around 2500-2800 would be better, as long as you can get it without having trouble with it not reliably returning to "static" at idle.

I'd suggest trying one weak and one medium spring, to start. In most of those curve kits that's about the best overall street combo, or at least a good jumping-off point.

That RPM point isn't going to make alot of difference to your ET though; certainly not .8 sec; especially if the engine doesn't spend any time below that RPM, whatever it is, going down the track. Might improve driveability, and maybe launch a little although not likely since your converter RPM is already above all those points, but not ET.

Yeah that's what I was kinda wondering because I shift at 5500 and I am sure its not dropping that much.My best time is a 12.23@109 with a 1.74 60ft my best 60 is a 1.69 but that was before some other tuning. I have the spacer and going to jet up alittle on the secondaries
