I just received a link to a forum topic at Nebraska GM Modern Muscle. If you ever wondered why some of the Vette guys seem to be "one up" on us, here is a peek into one of their secrets. "WARNING - this post contains some vulgar language" but I have to post it anyway because the entertainment value is WAY too high. This thing is apparently spreading around the internet like wildfire. After reading the forum topic, go out to their forum page and look at the number of times it has been viewed and then refresh that index page every few seconds and look how fast the numbers are climbing. And now, without further delay, I give you one of the best kept secrets of Corvette Performance -

What a great way to get views of your board. Unfortunately, what a great way to show how your site is run. I belong to another site that is pretty loose on language but that would be embarassing. Now, if that idea was posted ehre, I would believe it would still be completely shot down, but in a logical and technical way, not just lambasting the guy for not knowing how it works. Is it just a farce posting? Maybe, but there are people out there that I believe could come up with ideas like that.

Yeah, I was kinda expecting the "Direct Exhaust Injection", that bypasses turbos and just shoots all the exhaust straight back into the intake manifold. This "classic" joke post exists in several forums.

Personally I prefer the Turbo Ebcabulator:
In words: http://www.floobydust.com/turbo-encabulator/
In video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLDgQg6bq7o
In video, same man with co presenter maybe a few years later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbVY5teBzlg&NR=1
For real, but still a joke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGXcM9evUpo
No joke, but should have been: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLsVWFGO7aQ

This HAS to be the topic of all topics across all internet automotive chat boards. I still think it's gotta be a joke.

:yes:Next someone will claim waxing your car reduces wind drag and ups overall performance.

:hurray:that is true, due to less turbolence of the air molecules passing thru the dust stuck on the car body..........:hurray:

LMAO, I raced with a guy that always was cleaning his car, that was his claim and I could not agrue it since he was alway about .02 quicker than me with the same setup. That was until I started cleaning mine. :) j/k

I read through the post over there and just to think this fella thought his biggest problem would be fitting up an air cleaner to the setup......

There are some scarey ones out there.......

as long as he adds the matching "o" pipe in the exhaust it will run like a beast.

just tell him a motor is just like him...it needs oxygen to operate.....

To validate/test his theory he should go out and wrap his lips around the tailpipe and see how long he lasts......

Scratch that idea,.......he might actually try it if he reads this.

In all honesty.....I have a feeling this guy is just jerkin some chains by his post....and he honestly can't be serious. At least that is what I am going to tell myself, because if he is serious it is scarey to think I might be sharing a road/dragstrip with him somewhere /someday.

Nahhhh he can't be serious.

Why not just use a tank of compressed oxygen as your inlet air while you're at it.

I guess the big deal is it's crude, offensive and reflects that person's inability to communicate in a civilized manner.

I'm betting this is the disgruntled ex-New Product Developement Engineer recently fired from Kale Automotive. Probably the same guy that invented cross-drilled brake lines.
