Hey guys,I'm thinking of installing some Headman Hedder chrome tips from JEGS (24 inch babies) on my Flowmaster American Thunder system. The system is a 2 1/2 inch deal. The tips 2 1/2 inch in and 4 out. My question is will this help or harm this "tuned" exhaust system?

Would clearnace be a issue with this setup?

Depends on how your exhaust is run. I know how its run on my car it might rub the tires depending how quickly they flare.

My thoughts were to take the turn down tailpipes that come with the kit and cut off the back 23 inches off and weld the tips on. This would give me 1 inch coming out the back. Another concern is the gradual increase in pipe size, how do you feel this would look from the side.
