Anyone have any experience with a PPG product DCP 21.
I am currently doing research to start my first body and paint job. I came across this product an older article in Car Craft. I did a search for it here and some other boards and did not find any information. This is what the magazine had to say: "DCP 21 is a urethane primer that can be used directly on metal, eliminating the need for multiple primer systems. It can be used as a primer, primer-surfacer, and primer sealer all in one product..."
I did find a couple of websites with some information: http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/feb96/funderct.htm and http://www.taperformance.com/Filler.htm.
Would this eliminate the need for an etch, surface and sealing primers? Or am I totally confused.
