Hey guys, is this a solid set up? I bought a 69 Chevelle with a 468 with the following:

scat crank, forged pistons 10.5-1 on factory rods, solid lift cam, dbl roller chain, comp pro magnum stainless rockers 1.7 and moroso stud girdle mounted on 781 steel heads, stainless steel valves 2.19I ans 1.88E, hurricane single plane intake and Barry Grant 850 vac. carb. a 700R4 with 2800-3000 stall converter and sfi flex plate with a B&M pro stick shifter, 10 bolt Eaton posi with Richmond 4.10 gears

Also what does 781 steel heads mean? thanks for any assistance

That is the last 3 digits of the casting numbers. They are factory GM iron oval port heads, open chamber. "781" heads are decent flowing heads, must have some domed pistons in it to achieve 10.5:1 CR with those heads. They have about 119 cc chambers.

Thanks for the compliment. Good luck with your project and have fun!
