I bought a 71 Chevelle with a 383 engine. There is a slight vibration that will go away if I pull up and forward on the A/C compressor.
A mechanic told me that I was missing a rear bracket on the A/C compressor. IIRC, he said there were two rear brackets and my car is missing one of them, maybe because the header was in the way. He said I would need to have someone fabricate a bracket. Before I get into that, I want to try a stock bracket (or at least have one as a model for fabrication).
I believe the part number for the part I am missing is 3995607, identified as Support - Rear Bracket.
Does anyone know where I can find one of these?
