So, anyone have any luck using a standard dist and intake - carb on one of these funky 350's?
I have done some research and know that its been done just hoping someone here has some first hand experience. I have a nearly complete low mileage engine laying around (w/o computer) and recently acquired a 85' corvette parts car (w/o computer).
Can a guy just omit the opti spark and plug up the hole in the timing cover? What other differences are there? Like manual trans flywheels availability / cost and is exhaust LT1 only or ?
I would like to strip this Vette down to bare frame and suspension, build a roll cage drop that LT1 and a muncie in it and do some drifting with my daughter. Mainly to show her it doesn't have to cost $30 k to have fun and when it breaks its not the end of the world.
Let me know what you guys think. Any info or advice on this project would be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks for your time Dave AKA Mr Evil
