Hello everyone, I am about to go in search of buying a chevelle, I love the 71,,, with a clean front end, i find it gorgeous, but i havnt been able to find one for sale (im looking for quite a project car, nothing too expensive) however, i have ran across quite a few '72 chevelles,,, from what i can tell, the only difference on the body from the 71-72 is the blinkers on the front of the car, the 71 has a two piece system; the 72 has a one piece system,,, so my questions are:
Can you do a blinker conversion from the 72, to look like a 71?
and
What other differences may there be between a 72 and a 71 chevelle?
thanks for any help

its not actually 2 pieces, the bezel just splits the lens and I agree it looks much better

all you have to do is switch the grille and the signal lenses and bezels

there's a minor difference in taillight lenses but i don't know enough about it to comment

Why not make it real cool and put a Camaro front end on it. A 72 should be a 72, IMO. But almost ANY conversion can be done to almost any car, just takes some planning, and GREAT TOOLS. Basically the same car Differances are: Front signal lights, 71's have a bar across the lens 72's do not. The grills & headlight extentions are different. 72's have a fasten seat belt light on the dash
