All:
Nothing in my SS Dash works. No tach, speedo, fuel, etc... I believe I might have a short in the courtesy light system. When I have the courtesy fuse in, my high beam indicator stays lit, even if the lights are not on. My battery shows .23 amp when putting the volt meter in series with the negative battery post and battery cable. There are two black wires on the drivers side of the car under the dash near the emergency brake and these wires have a ring connector on them. I am assuming these to be ground, but when I touch them to metal, they spark. I also hooked a volt meter between the black wires and the metal and got 12 volts. The courtesy fuse does not blow, but when I take it out of the fuse block, I do not show any current draw at the battery. Please let me know what you think could be the problem and why none of my instrument cluster is working. I tried to look at the back of the cluster to see if the printed circuit board was touching metal, but I could not see that it was.
Thanks a million.
