burpin,
tom thinks donuts are cool even if they are in the third party
whats up with the third party dude you are weird:D

I love doing donuts
love watching other people doing donuts
and I especially like eating doughnuts
posi burnouts are cool
I will probably never grow up
plus I like to burn off old worn out tires
it is nice to have a tire machine
just ain't gonna happen in the vert though
and I sold the last rubber encrusted inner wheel well car last summer
but as soon as my 69 SS is done mmmmmm more donuts (non- numbers matching so it is going to get it's fair share of beating)

An episode of Seinfeld comes to mind when talking about oneself in the third person. Did anyone else see that one?? The guy's name is Jimmy. It's also the one where George thinks where special sneakers can make him jump higher. Quotes that come to mind are "Jimmy's gonna put the moves on Elaine", "Get your hands off Jimmy, don't touch Jimmy" :D :D :D.

Burpin loves donuts too, But tires are expensive so Burpin made a video. For all to see instead of showing everyone indivisually.

To help out my bud Burpin that is his `cuda and he is on a Mopar site and he talks just as funny there but wev`e gotten used to it I guess! I agree with some of you guys that we muscle car guys should stick together and not be rude to each other.I am a Mopar guy now but my first car was a `68 Chevelle SS and I like all muscle cars and v8 powered hot rods.If any of you have street cars that can pull the wheels let`s see the video!!!
Well OK, but my grown son frequents a few car sites and doesn't talk like a weinee-head. Perhaps it's a Mopar thing.

Wow, REAL class act, people. A guy joins the forum, asks a question, and, y'all ignore him. Being the guy he is, he decides to poke a little harmless fun at you, and, posts a vid of his car, doing an impressive burnout, all in good fun. And, you take it WAY too seriously, and start ripping into him. Nice. Man, sure says alot about this place.

What ever happened to appreciating ALL powerful cars? OMG, it doesn't have a bowtie on it, so, it MUST be inferior! Frankly, I'm sick of people like that. I may be a Mopar guy, but, I also love Chevy muscle cars. And, Ford Muscle cars. And Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Mercury, and AMC. In my humble opinion, disliking a car JUST because of who makes it is a pretty stupid reason to hate a car. Same for disliking a person because of his preferance of Muscle cars.

And, yes, he talks in 3rd person. That's what makes Burpin, Burpin. Wouldn't have it any other way.

What, are you jealous? I, and every person I've shown that video to, am impressed by it.
Do you realize what kind of damage doing a burnout in reverse does to a transmission? Trannys are more expensive than tires.

oh my gosh the mopar guys are easily offended

burpin - I thought the video was way cool and if you are going to talk third party you probably know you will get razzed and don't really care (although the other mopar guys are a little uptight about the razzing)
tcuda - yeah I'm fat bald and stupid and homer is my third cousin removed
and demon - OK here is a guy who lumped all us cheby guys together
my favorite cars are 68 and 69 chevelles then fallowed up by 69 mach one - then just about any other year before 69 then there has always been a spot in my heart for the 72 CUDA and all amx's
and if I would hit the lottery I would own one of each
but since I don't make as much as even homer simpson I will just play with my chevelles

Tom,didn`t mean that Homer ref as a slam, just talking of loving donuts reminded me of the cartoon.Like I said I like all muscle cars and have owned a `68 Chevelle and a couple Mustangs as well as a bunch of Mopars. My best friend runs a `79 Monza drag car and my other bud has a `79 Z28 and we bust each other all the time but all in good fun! :D

I seem to recall in Burpins first thread, Burpin was insulted for the way he posts in 3rd person, and, nobody really answered his question, even though the last guy to post said he knew the answer........

Busting on Chevelles won't make you a lot of friends on this board.

Nice Cuda.

You will find that probably at least half the guys on this board like cars besides Chevelles as well, but we tend to hang out here, because we like Chevelles, and most the people on this site are very nice, and quick to help when they can.

Try being nice, and you won't believe the out pouring of help, that will come your way.
I'd have answered his question, if I'd have seen it, and knew the answer.

Can't we all just get along ?

I like your Cuda Burpin, hope you make your Chevelle as cool.
And feel free to post burnout vids any time you like.
That on looks almost professionally made.

Dear Mopar Persons,

If you walk into a bar, restaraunt, bowling alley or someones home and start anoying the folks hanging out there you are not going to be greeted very friendly. This site just like the one you left to come here is just like that. Since you don't seem to be rookies at this you know things like typing in all CAPS is yelling and I'm sure you know things can be taken out of context when hand and facial jestures are not present.

Talking in the 3rd person is anoying and maybe the person doing so thinks it's cute but it's not. It's obvious it's not by the reception that person got here! It's also obvious it was done to push buttons and that makes the person doing it a troll! To continue doing it after all the obvious objections is just insulting and that fortifys the troll status of the one doing it!

I've been here on the site for a long time and everyone that has come to this site, mopar, ford and even import has been given the utmost of respect unless they came here insulting folks and trying to stir the pot! We have 15 year old folks that visit the site that show more maturity in both their actions and the name they have chosen to represent with!

Blowing Chunks - if you truly want to rub elbows with some very knowledgable Chevelles Nuts and feel welcome here try acting like an adult. That's all it takes. Don't quit your day job, leave the comedy for the pro's... :p

Not that its right, or even nice, but I think (IMO) the problem with Burpin's reception IS his "language" choice...

I don't think its really offensive (maybe to some), but it is VERY annoying. (Note: I didn't dis or even reply to any of the other threads)...

Burpin' might want help with his car (brakes, etc), but he should ask is a normal way... It might be funny the first few post, but gets old quickly...

It is internet etiquet... Just like posting in all CAPITAL LETTERS would be considered yelling... or posting without punctuation...

Its not only annoying, but makes it hard to read and hard to realize if the person really wants help or is just joking around and wasting everybodys time (afterall, if he really wanted help, then why didn't he drop the 3rd-person act and actually ask for help, instead of playing around?)...

People here (and on other sites) are the same (for the most part).

Joking, having fun, burnouts, etc... Listen to someone "post" in 3rd-person is not fun. .. We all like to have fun and be laid back and relaxed, but when someone is seeking information, they SHOULD (not required) do so in a clear, respectful manner, using typical grammer...

Post in Bench Racing or another forum about your cool burnouts, etc, but when asking a technical question, try to do so in normal english...

Some of the folks at this site might have been a little harsh to Burpin, but its a two way street... Maybe Burpin should try reasking his question in a manner more consistant with those that frequent this board. We have foreign members and visitors that convey their thoughts and questions in "better" english than Burpin...

Why can't Burpin try to assimilate better with this board... I am not suggesting changing his personality, his thought, etc.. ONLY the way he uses language... He comes off as being young and immature...

We are not all perfect (especially here), we don't always spell perfectly, etc (I know I use the "..." way to much), but still try to communicate in concise statements... Many of us are immature in many respects (and some are pretty young too)...

I saw a few people noting that they thought it was BS about the burnout being Burpins, but thats commom anywhere... Alot of people pull stuff from the net and claim it as theirs... When someone "talks" in an immature manner, its easy to think it is just some young kid that is making everything up...

For the most part, most people here like many cars or all marques... We are not "Chevelle Only" type of people, that just happens to be where we are right now... Personally, Chevelles are my favorite, but I love most musclecars...

Its not obvious burpin is just being himself. If you are offended by Burpins hairstyle should burpin change it. Also, Burpin didnt come here to start trouble, burpin got trouble by comming here. Burpin would leave but Burpin has found that there are more people here they are kind and accept burpin for who he is than not. Last but not least, burpin accepts his freshman status of the forum and will accept his thrashing from others and not attack back. Burpins only "sly" comment was a teasing one in good fun, Burpin has 2 chevelles and likes them very much, Burpin would fight in the Chevelle corner anyday. and now last but not least

Hello, Burpin is Burpin and Burpin hopes we can be friends.

I don't post in the 3rd person. Burpin does. If you don't like the way he posts, don't read them. Personally, I don't care how he posts. For me, Ted welcome Burpin. :waving: :D
