700r4 lockup Please help

I'm having trouble figuring out the answer to this question. I recently bought an old 700r4 from a guy i know. It was rebuilt in 01 and he said it still runs fine. But i can't get a hold of this guy as of right now, and i'm needing to know how to tell if my torque converter is lockup style or not. It is not in the car yet. I have the tranny pan off right now. I'm putting it into a 70 chevelle. Thanks in advance. I'm pretty sure the car the tranny was pulled from didn't have the wiring hooked up for the lockup.

All 700r4 have lock-up.

If it is a stock tranny and convertor it will have a lock-up torque convertor like Trans1226 said

Well, i know it was rebuilt in 01 by acdelco, but i'm pretty sure it is the stock converter. Thanks for the quick responses, i'm just getting into restoring this car, i've had it for years.

All 700r4 have lock-up.

Aftermarket convertors are another matter entirely, just to be clear, the pump needs a minor mod to properly lube with a non-lockup converter in place.

Not exactly true.
It can be a lock up or non lock up depending on the converter.

You may want to call bowtie overdrives in Hesperia California. They have been quite helpful to me.
