I have a Pheonix Transmission Products 700R4 in my wagon and they said their dyno only pulls till 5000 or so so it was not set up high. I use hand controls and want it to shift on its own at 6 to 6500. The engine pulls great but I can't shift it manually so do I buy a recalibration kit or ask them for one. Jegs has them as I had someone else set up my other cars TH400 to shift at 6000 which it does. I think I'll take it back to him and have him set it up.
My stall is also way tight. I'm only seeing 1800-2000 under full brake and the same for flash. They said no problem they would build me a new one and send it out. 2700 RPM or so. I'm thinking I need the 3000-3500 unit but don't want to spend the extra bucks for it. So I'll try their other convertor when I call them back to try it. After I drive it to Chevelle-abration.
