Hi everyone! Been a long time since I was on this site.

I will try to be brief but here is the story;

I have a 70 Chevelle that I had totally restored in 2009. See link below for pictures;

http://www.murphysclassics.com/murphys.asp?ID=140&page=previous+projects
(BTW, the trunk lid pictured in the photo's WAS replaced)

My wife bought me this car as a birthday present, I installed the engine, tranny, suspension and brakes and then sent it off to be completed.
The car was a LS5 but the previous owner re-bodied the car with a donor car. I have the original 5500 tach gauge cluster and the trim tag, which shows a V8 with original green paint with white stripes. Since I went the resto-mod route, and the car had no engine or tranny, it did not concern me very much.

In any event I just fell into an all original 1962 Corvette fuelie that I am turning my attention to and am considering selling the 70 Chevelle.

The car has only 1500 miles since restoration and has the following;

468 BBC by Steve Schmidt Racing
Tremec TKO600 5 speed
Global West upper and lowers
Hotchkis suspension
Big brake kit
Paint is an absolute 10
Bottom of car is immaculate.

This was a very high end restoration. Any input on value would be appreciated.

Thanks

Eric

Looks like a nice car & a quality build, I would say 38-52k but you never know it depends on what your willing to let it go for & how big a wad of cash the buyer offers,, down at Mecum last week in Florida they were getting good $$ for cars looking like yours. Seen a real nice frame off 396 stick & air cond. car with original papers go for 32,500. Good luck in your sale.

Thanks,

I was thinking high 40's, or, maybe I get 2 drunk guys at Mecum in Indy this year :beers:

Still not sure if I am going to part with it, depends how far I want to take the 62 fuelie,,,,

BTW, LOVE to have a bubble top. One of my dream cars. Seems like there is nothing in between junk or over the top resto's out there.

My friend sold a frame off resto mod five or so years ago at bj for 43000. Then this year he takes a 70 el camino restomod 454,4sp vintage air dakota dash etc. And it sells for 58,000! Its all about having the right buyers in the right place.
