Does anyone know what the ohm readings should be on a good gas tank sending unit for testing. Not sure if it is the gauge or the sending unit, any help would be appreciated, thanks and Happy Holidays!

0 to 90 ohms - sending unit output wire to ground/body of the sender.
(edit - replace wire with terminal)

can't you test it by touching it to frame or something like that?

(With key ON) Unplug the tan wire on the sender, gauge will go past Full. Ground the same wire to frame, gauge will go to Empty. If this happens gauge and wiring are good. Puts problem into sender or ground of tank.

Sender 0 ohms = Empty, 90 ohms = full.
