hey everyone. looking for shortblock for my nova. anybody been down this road before, if so, any ideas or suggestions on reputable assemblies. looking for pump gas engine. i've done some research of my own, but its always good to get more info & possibly someone's experience & been there/done that knowledge. thanx in advance Jim :beers:

I know Shafiroff Racing engines was popular for that kind of stuff. They have crate engines for almost everything. They seem to have a good reputation, they have been around for years. I wouldn't bet my life on HP numbers but I haven't heard too much about assembly issues. My friend bought a 540 sportsman engine from them.
