The other day I was driving my 69 Chevelle big block with a M21 trans, when I was shifting into 3rd gear at about 3500 RPM I head a noise like something let loose. I still had power in gear but it sounded like a banging noise. I shifted to 4th no problems, I also have no problems in 1st or 2nd gear. Does any one know what this could be?
