Pump gas 10:1 compression, cam specs after lash, 716 696 256 264 108 lsa, 1.75 intake rocker, 1.7 exhaust

Peak HP at what rpm?

Peak TQ at what rpm?

6000 torque peak 610
7300 hp peak 745
Looks very nice, you should sell those.

To the OP I would say it makes more horsepower and torque than a Toyota Prius and less than a locomotive and the RPM range is 6-7,000.

That's a good question. They're no names machined, finished in Tennessee using all Manley parts. To take it a step further, these are the first set I've ported and polished since I started using them 2 years ago. I get them from a friend I've drag raced with 25 years works for Nickels in Tennessee. Un-ported we haven't made less than 700hp on any of the 10:1 pump gas BBC's we've dyno'd in the last year. I originally purchased a UDHarold design Lunati solid roller 680 680 255 263 110 LSA for this engine, changed my mind when I read the lsa debate which is an old one, on this board. Alex and I at Lunati came up with this hot street/muscle car/mild bracket racing special grind custom solid roller camshaft, specs after lash 1.75 intake rocker 1.7 exhaust 716 696 256 264 108 lsa. It would be nice to need to rev it somewhere around 7000 rpm's or close, to determine its worth. .

Experienced estimate. A friend I've known 30 years who worked for Lunati and bullet says it'll be "snotty" with this camshaft, he liked the Lunati UDHarold design original cam choice. I took those as fighting words (sarcasm), ported and polished the heads, race/performance valve job, JESEL belt drive for adjustment. If it peaks 6500 6600 it'll be pretty decent I think.

She had another 15-20 hp in her. Tighter I made the lash, the more power it made.

My guess of
745hp@7300
And 610tq@6000
So close. Did I win the engine for closet guesstimate?😚

Is the 252-260 cam card above the cam in the dynoed engine? Best power maybe 2 advanced to straight up?

How tight did you go on the valves?
Very good engine, holds power well , broad power band.
Thank you,Yes Lunati special grind Alex and I at Lunati, came up with. 012 lash ramp called for 020 lash. We made a few pulls with late Saturday night after shop hours with lash at 015 cam timing 2 ahead, two behind and straight up. Made 722 hp 2 ahead.

Loosened lash 020 while it was hot, before we left Saturday Night.

Made 3 pulls this morn 020 lash 2 ahead, 2 behind, straight up cam timing all down on power from 722 hp. Tightened 013 hot lash and it made 725hp. Bolted the shops Bo Laws 1150 Dominator Carb on it, cooled it down, took a degree of ignition timing off it, and it made 749.1. Called it good. It had a little left in it though, for sure.

The shop Bo Laws carb always makes 20-25 hp more than my out of the box 80689 1050 Holley three circuit dyno carb, it has issues. I really need to speak with Joe at BLP about a dyno carb of my own, to start these sessions off with.
