Dart block usually worth some power to Big Joe used to say 30 hp or so.

The block I used had really thick cylinders, it had very little distortion with the TQ plate tightened, it honed excellent. I just missed a virgin 400 small block on Craigslist today.
Few good cores around anymore. Don't 400's move a bit more than 4 in. bore blocks?

Thanks for calling it the Chinese virus, I'm dam sick of this covid 19 crap

I really want to know why Skip's running his dyno's with the baro set almost a point low? Anybody? If I did this I'd be ripped from end of the internet to the other.
Probably didn't think anybody would notice till you.

CNC Carl has a good price on finish machine SHP blocks $1975

Why don't you just a send a link to EVERY magazine article or YouTube video that features a 406 SBC at one time, make some baseless claim, and then be done with it?
Just about what he's been doing.

OK Mod, how about a 2 for 1... pdq67 AND trmnatr for salty?
Trmnatr pops in at Speedtalk once in awhile.
No one has mentioned the guy from Jersey. >:)

542 lb-ft from a na 400 doesn't seem low on torque to me.
That's the same as my crappy home built 421. Wonder what Mark would've gotten from it?
