Kind of worried about clutches. Can you use a combination of switches for the lock up? Thanks
I use a cruise control brake light switch with the lock up wired through the CC side. This is to ensure the converter unlocks when the brakes are applied. A 4th gear pressure switch inside the trans locks the converter any time the trans is in 4th gear. If the trans downshifts from 4th gear the converter unlocks. When going up through the gears and the trans shifts to 4th, about a second later the converter locks.
I think I only have manifold vacuum ( 66 winter intake, 66 holly carb). Is that a problem?Vacuum switch will unlock when off the gas, as well as heavy load. Hooks to ported.
