Does a 2004r overdrive transmission bolt up to a chevrolet big block? If so does it need a special wiring harness to be installed in a 1970 like the 700r4?

I'm pretty sure there was a B-O-P version of the 200 that won't fit a Chevy. The Chevy version will most definitely bolt up, and you need to wire your vehicle for lock-up.

all my 200r4s, including non monte SS ones, have a universal case that will fit chevy as well as BOP. Not sure if they are all that way but so far my 85-87 versions are all like that. They will bolt up to a big block and will need lockup wiring if you are running a lockup converter.

I also remeber something about the 200-4R's having both patterns.

Is there a difference between the lockup wiring for a 700R4 and the 2004R? Which tranny is better?

Go with a BMW 7 speed, aren't those the best? They sell those at P.K. also. they bolt right up to stock 396's with cast pistons and 400hp nitrous kit.
