Hello ... I have a 70 SS 454 LS-5 Built April 1970 at the Flint plant ... All the numbers that I have found indicate a numbers matching car ... The Engine and the Transmission have the same vin #s and all the dates are right for a April built 70SS ... But, My rear axle code reads CRV 1022B1 ... I know the CRV is a 331 posi ... But after reading other forums , I have found that the 1022B1 means Oct. 22 and the B1 means Baltimore PLant first shift ... Would it be possible for this to be correct for my car? .... Did they build alot of axles and ship them to different plants and then possibly sit around for a while till used? ... any help would be appriciated ...

cramar,My KC built, (12E) dated, 1970 chevelle ss LS5 car, has a rearend code of CRV1211B1. the rearend casting date is(K219). I think anything is possible, I doubt, rearend date codes meant anything to assembly line workers..
