He guys,
I googled and searched here first.

Does anyone have a picture of a 66 glovebox interior? I am not a numbers matching kind of guy, but since I bought all the goodies, I figured I might as well make sure I get it all installed right.

Does the tire pressure sticker go in the first circle on the door back?

Does anything else go in the other circles? Besides my soda at the drive in?

the sticker goes in the center hole? sure?

Agreed.

Back when my '66 was new it usually found it's way to a drive-in theater on Friday/Saturday nights and my girlyfriend and I used the outer recesses on that glove box door for our "concession stand" drink cups.

The center recess was used for other drive-in related paraphernalia. :D

Cory I don't believe you one bit. Once I took my wife to a car hop for ice cream and went to put my milk shake on tbe glove box lid and it did not fit. It was to tall So how small of a cup did you have.

I wuzza cheapskate back then - bought kid size drinks. ;)

You milked what? on the glove box lid? :p

The AIM shows it going in the middle depression - but I have photos of several original cars on my CD with the tire pressure decal in both the left and right ones as well. To be safe and not get 'dinged' I'd put it in the center.

Also might want to insure you get a 66 decal (bowtie with no "A") instead of the 67 decal (bowtie with "A") - and the number on it is 3888745 for all except wagon, pickup, and SS396; 3888746 is wagon, 3888747 is pickup, and 3888749 is SS396.

Got it. Well, my car had the original sticker on the left hole. But I sandblasted it off and painted the lid. So I will put it in the center, but I think it was original in the left hole.
Like I said, I am not going for a concourse car. I just figured I would do it right since I was doing it at all.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE REPLIES!!!!!!

I just looked at the sticker. It is a bowtie no A. It is part number 3888749, which is completely wrong for the car, but since it is the SS sticker, I am going to use it. Only you guys will know the difference. I just think it looks cool to have it there.

Again, thanks. And now I have to go look for one with an A just to see what you are talking about.

According to Dale 3888749 is correct for a SS396
