will this compressor work with my gun to shoot a full car? the gun is just a regular suction feed gun... not an HVLP.

220V, 2 cylinder, 3 HP motor, 11 gallon tank

10.9 cfm at 40 psi

9.1 cfm at 90m psi

max 115 psi

thanks.

Dude, this is where we discuss our work out plans, vitamin supplements, and the bowflex. Your confused, this is the body shop. ;)

I kid. Just a sarcastic bump. TTT.

It should work. You may have to wait for the compressor to catch up.Hell i painted my 70 Chevelle in 88 with a Craftsman 3 hp,15 gallon tank.I went half way around the car, waited for the compressor to catch up and then did the other half. This was in my moms driveway too.Not the best way but it worked.

Ive sprayed with my 5hp 60 gallon a few times, its all it can do to keep up, both HVLP and GF non HVLP. Probably be able to do it, but keeping a wet edge is gonna be a problem, especially with clears. You don't specify material type.

Dude, try autobodystore.comBB There is a lot of pro painters and seasoned people on there that can give you some good advice...I,ve been lurking there for awhile now ,kind of addicting...Good luck.Ed

I've had good results with a 2 gallon pressure pot, a Binks model 7, and my 4 gallon 2hp Dewalt/Emglo compressor. The pot ensures paint at the tip even if the air is starting to slow down. Then again, that is a tough little compressor, seems to be able to keep up just fine. It sounds like yours should be able to keep up. I use the small one when I paint at a friend's house, he likes my jobs, I like that he does all of the prep, I show up and shoot.
