Hi - a few questions. Is this paint any good and is it made by BASF? Any recommendations on using this on my car and will they be able to match an original 1967 color (marina blue)? Thanks.

Glasurit is one of the best paints out there, on the higher end of paints. Am a PPG fan but willing to try again out there, but stick with PPG casue thats what I have in my area. I would love to try some Spies Hecker paint, but no dealers in Iowa 
As for matching can they??? NO but they can come dam close. Unless you find a painter that is willing to spend the time to hand mix it, tint spray and tint. You wont get a dead on MATCH. No company will. Paint manufactors have much better things to do then try and match some color that 30+ years old...sorry.
Say even with a color code you ARE NOT guaranteed a match to YOUR car. Paint will have different variables or versions of what it SHOULD BE. For example one color that really sticks in my head is a GM color called med garnet red metallic. That darn color has like 12 variable One might be lighter face or darker or redder or bluer more vivid etc.
So its dam impossible to get a 100% match to a color that 30 some years old

Eric said it all, damn good paint. And of course you will want to use ALL Glasurit products from etch primer to clear.

Have used Diamont for over 6 years. NO PROBLEMS!! Has been very reliable product.
You can take anything that "sevt_chevelle" and "MARTINSR" say to the bank!!!
As stated by them, whatever you use, follow the directions, don't mix product lines.

My car was sprayed with Glasurit, and I love it! Keeps a great shine, is very resistant to water and chemical spotting. Fairly sure it's the paint used on high end European cars like BMW and Merceedes, might want to check that.

hey most of the high end european cars have either Standox or spies hecker on them, standox owns spies hecker but they offer some different variations of products, anyway goodluck, glassurit is good stuff
