Neat car with the factory O-O paint code and 2L 4-speed option.

Not sure what effect those have on value, but I would certainly pay more for it.

Kind of refreshing to see a relatively clean Chevelle that hasn't been fluffed and spray-bombed for a quick sale.

I like it, but a lot of bubbles under that paint.

It's too bad many sellers never get around to taking up close pictures of problem areas. I'm on my phone so can't tell if all of those dark patches are rust, or a previous paint job. I'll have to assume rust, otherwise why leave them out. Too bad, looks like the car could have potential.

The paint looks like the $99 Earl Scheib special where they paint right over the bugs.

I sometimes like oddball colors too but every time i see a carolina blue chevelle in person i cant describe how plain and dull they appear. Kind of interesting at first glance but nothing i would drive, even granny didnt order that color.

when you pull into the cool hangout spot in your classic car with dancing tailpipes and the fenders ticking away like an angry typist the color better be cool...

On a funny note:
Clint eastwood once saw a lotus painted lime green and he said anyone who would deface a work of art with a color like that ought-ta have his ass removed.....

I do like the car, I just hate rust. And I would have to have someone that does that for a living to judge it in person. I like just about all blues, including that one. I remember when the Fiero was only available in White, Red and Black. I said if they every make a Blue one, I'll get one. And I HATED the blue they used the next year... Looked like blue Tupperware.
Since my Elky is a 1967, I have really appreciated the 67s in general, and they are my favorites, with the 66 next. The price seems possibly decent, if it is no worse anywhere that pictured, and has a Make Offer, so will consider less.
Is it just to plain to be worth more? A lot of the 30k-40k cars to me don't seem any more appealing.

Gonna go against the grain here, but I agree with Keith and like the color mainly because it's different. My first glance at the pics was like....WOW, that's nice! Go to any car show and there are red, dark blue (and I LOVE dark blue), Marina blue, black.

All beautiful colors, but this is different (refreshing?), and it's a factory color.....

Just my .02....which means nothing.....:)

while the rarity of the color and the trim tag reflecting that. the price on this car will fall on its condition and all the mickey mouse work done to it. and there are quite a few mickey mouse work that I can see from the pictures let alone all the rust

That Carolina Blue is nothing like these other blues shown, and like some of the others, I think it's butt ugly, no way I'd paint a Chevelle or any other car that color. But, the good thing is, with that trim tag, you could paint it any color available that year, that wasn't a std Chevelle color, and claim matching numbers, if you're into that sort of thing.

1955-57 Chevrolets, and possibly other years, I'd have to go back and look, had VERY popular light blue back then. And I owned a couple of 'em. In fact, my very first car was a '55 Chevy, Skyline Blue with white roof.

1955 - Skyline Blue
1956 - Nassau Blue
1957 - Larkspur Blue

All the same light blue, just different names for it. AKA baby blue or Robin's egg blue. 10 years later GM was still offering it as Carolina Blue with a "special" paint code.

My point?.....nothing....I still like that color on this '67 Chevelle....:)

Go ahead and puke if you need to.....:D

I would buy a tri-five in light blue, and I like chevelles in currently rare colors. But the lines of a 66-67 just dont lend themselves to light blue. The biggest thing with this car is the combination of being overpriced with a not so hot color. If either were to change - it could grow on me..:beers:
