70 Malibu 2 dr HT, panel beside rear seat

70 Malibu 2 dr HT, panel beside rear seat.

Guy that upholstered my car last time broke this panel. It holds the ashtray, has a filler panel that goes up beside the seat back.

Anybody know where to get this? my car is 45/45, I think that means Mist Green with Dark Green interior. is this right?

Tom, you need the lower plastic fill piece or the metal strip that goes above it to the package tray? Both my 70's were booger colored Arlington cars. Those lower panels and fillers are Monte as well, and guess how many booger colored Montes there were? Yeah, lots. I am fairly certain I have a right side in the warehouse.

Brent, yeah, those things are not well-reviewed. I think they're the same part selling cheaper on ebay. Somewhere I've seen a reference to them being like blow mold, flimsy. too bad.

The 70-72 Monte Carlo used steel panels covered in vinyl for the ashtray panel. The Chevelle used plastic panels for the ashtray panel. Both the Chevelle and Monte Carlo used the same steel filler panels that attach to the ashtray panels. You need the plastic panels to be correct for a Chevelle. You need to find nice originals and spray them your interior color.
