My daughter just joined the Girl Scouts this past year so this is our first year of selling cookies, and I was surprised. I found out a few weeks ago when I was wondering why the names changed (I remembered getting the Tagalogs, which are now Peanut Butter Patties)... Many neighbors also were confused, as some had favorites that were no longer available (several mention liking the powdered-sugar coated, lemony "Savannahs", and now its the completely different "Lemonades" sandwich cookie...
I thought it was going to be more of a regional thing, but that map is interesting...
I wonder if there is a price incentive or negotiated deals to choose a certain bakery in some areas? Not sure why our area switched, but its a regional council decision...
